Day 1: Shimla – Kalpa / Reckong Peo
- Pickup from Shimla and drive through the scenic Hindustan–Tibet Highway
- Stop at Sarahan Bhimakali Temple (optional)
- Reach Kalpa or Reckong Peo by evening
- Explore apple orchards and get acclimatized
- Overnight stay in Kalpa / Peo
Day 2: Kalpa – Nako – Tabo Monastery
- Drive along Sutlej and Spiti rivers towards Nako (approx. 160 km)
- Visit Nako Lake and monastery
- Arrive in Tabo, home to the 1000+ year old Tabo Monastery — known as the “Ajanta of the Himalayas”
- Explore meditation caves and murals
- Overnight stay in Tabo
Day 3: Tabo – Dhankar – Pin Valley – Kaza
- Visit Dhankar Monastery, perched high above the confluence of Pin & Spiti rivers
- Optional hike to Dhankar Lake
- Visit Sakya Monastery in Pin Valley — serene and less crowded
- Reach Kaza by evening
- Overnight stay in Kaza
Day 4: Key Monastery – Hikkim – Langza – Komic
- Morning visit to Key Monastery, the largest gompa in Spiti — participate in monk prayers
- Drive to Hikkim Gompa and post a letter from the world’s highest post office
- Explore Langza (Buddha statue) and Komic (world’s highest village with road access)
- Overnight stay in Kaza
Day 5: Kaza – Losar – Kunzum La – Chandratal (If accessible)
- Visit Losar Village and drive to Kunzum Pass (4,590 m)
- Reach Chandratal Lake (if open, depending on season)
- Camping by the lake or return to Losar
- Overnight in camp/guesthouse
Day 6: Return to Manali via Batal – Rohtang Tunnel
- Early departure via Gramphu, Atal Tunnel
