Day 1: Chandigarh/Kalka/Shimla → Kalpa (Approx 10-12 hrs)

  • Early morning pickup by AC Tempo Traveller / SUV
  • Scenic drive via Shimla, Kufri, Rampur, and Reckong Peo
  • Educational Session: Intro to Himalayan Geography & Local Culture
  • Check-in at hotel with mountain views
    Overnight Stay: Kalpa

Day 2: Kalpa → Nako (via Pooh – Khab Confluence)

  • Breakfast and drive toward the high-altitude desert
  • Visit Suicide Point (geology-based talk), Khab – Sutlej & Spiti confluence
  • Arrive at Nako – lake walk + monastery visit
  • Short session: Sustainable Living in Remote Himalayas

Day 3: Nako → Tabo (via Gue Mummy)

  • Early departure after breakfast
  • Visit Gue Village (India’s only naturally preserved mummy)
  • Explore Tabo Monastery (UNESCO World Heritage candidate)

Day 4: Tabo → Kaza + Local Exploration

  • Drive to Kaza, Spiti Valley’s sub-divisional HQ

Day 5: Kaza – Langza – Hikkim – Komic Circuit

  • Post breakfast, drive to fossil village Langza (alt. 14,500 ft)
  • Visit Hikkim (world’s highest post office) & Komic (world’s highest village with road)

Day 6: Kaza → Chitkul (via Nako & Pooh)

  • Early start for long scenic return journey via Spiti to Kinnaur
